Las Vegas Sands withdraws from casino opening race in Japan
Las Vegas Sands, one of the world's largest casinos based in the United States, recently announced that it has abandoned its pursuit of a resort market with casinos in Japan. The company made the decision in a very difficult way and insisted it would focus on investments outside Japan such as Macau and Singapore.

Since August 2019, the Company has been trying to expand in Japan in the Tokyo and Yokohama regions. After exploring opportunities in casino operations in Japan, they were aware that commercialization would be difficult under current Japanese law.
"We believe that the success of the Integrated Resorts model we pioneered in Las Vegas, Macao and Singapore will eventually be considered by Asian countries," said Sheldon G' President and CEO. Adelson once confessed. However, after considering every little detail of this journey, they officially abandoned their intention to build a casino resort market in Japan.
