Urgent arrest of 7 people in $3 trillion gambling line
Police searched the accommodation of 7 people in the football betting line, seized 2 savings books with a balance of VND 3 billion and many related documents.
On September 26, Gia Lai Provincial Police said that the unit has cooperated with the Department of Cyber Security and High-tech Crime Prevention (Ministry of Public Security) to urgently arrest 7 people involved in the online football betting line.

The seven arrested were La Thanh Vu (35 years old), Huynh Duc Toan (38 years old, together with Pleiku City), Truong Thanh Le (49 years old), Nguyen Van Phuong (44 years old), Le Ngoc Thang (52 years old, together with An Khe town), Nguyen Chi Tam (38 years old) and Tran Anh Dung (41 years old, together with Ayun Pa town).
Searching the accommodation of the above 7 people, police seized 2 cars, 8 laptops, 18 mobile phones, 5 ATM cards, 2 savings books with a balance of VND 3 billion and more than VND 119 million in cash.
The suspects are in an Internet football betting line led by Huynh Ngoc Anh (48 years old, in Da Nang City).
On the evening of September 23, more than 100 police officers rounded up Huynh Ngoc Anh and 21 others in the gambling line.
According to the Department of Cyber Security and High-tech Crime Prevention, from the beginning of 2020 up to now, this line has traded with an amount of more than VND 3,000 billion.
