The scale of the G2E Asia event in Macau reflects the strong growth of the gaming sector in Asia
The opening ceremony of the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia – Asia's leading trade event and conference for the 13th gaming and entertainment industry took place on May 21, 2019 in Macau.
MACAU, CHINA- Media Outreach – The opening ceremony of the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia – Asia's leading trade event and conference for the 13th gaming and entertainment industry took place on May 21, 2019 in Macau.
G2E Asia 2019 is set to host its largest ever exhibition and new two-level exhibition space. The event started with nearly 200 exhibitors, showcasing new advanced products, solutions and technologies on an area of 34,000 square meters; welcoming over 18,000 visitors from all major game and integrated resort operating houses in Asia and abroad.

G2E Asia 2019 has had the most diverse version ever in segments reaching all sectors of the gaming industry and beyond the game. Low levels this year include: slots and video games, table games, parts and components, technical solutions, business solutions and security monitoring, while at a high level will include game development, game platform development, sports betting , lotteries, esports (eSports) and everything related to financial technology.

Highlights taking place over 3 days at G2E Asia 2019 include:
G2E Asia 2019 has the participation of many leaders, influential people and senior experts. Daisy Ho, President and CEO of SJM Holdings Limited and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, SA, gave her opening remarks, kick off the theme of the day "China's Great Bay Area: Opportunities and Challenges for Macau and for Key Industry". The afternoon session had an exclusive column on Japan's game development prospects, along with potential economic impact on neighboring markets.
On day 2, the conference focused on highlighting the impact of technology on customer experience, including how to develop a unified analytics platform that will create an award-winning customer experience. Also on the second day, the Financial Technology Forum presented in parallel with the morning sessions revolving around the latest technological developments and innovations in digital payments and financial security. The afternoon sessions focused entirely on blockchain and game technology, with speeches noting the game and technology with the related responsibilities of operators and academics.
The final day of the conference focused on innovation and gaming technology, providing an overview and future prospects of sports betting in Asian territories. This was followed by an afternoon speech by Zane Moi, Amazon Web Service's Vice President and Head of Partner Ecosystems, with the exclusive theme "Digital Innovation: Faster and Globally".
Also on Tuesday, IAGA Best Practices returned with an overview of the responsible game.
New highlights at G2E Asia 2019
The Gala program was organized by G2E Asia and Inside Asian Gaming to celebrate the achievements of the brightest companies in Asian gaming and entertainment. The ceremony was attended by some of the most prominent figures in the gaming and entertainment industry who celebrated the best and smartest company in 12 categories.
A luncheon connecting game organizers was held on the second day (May 22) as a platform for professionals to share ideas on how to enhance the development of the industry. The networking platform provides managers with the opportunity to express their views, share updates and explore collaboration opportunities, at a time when the gaming market in Asia is changing and growing rapidly.
The luncheon of future tech leaders has been added to the agenda to provide a networking platform for more than 40 tech leaders to inspire and discuss new trends, solutions and technologies that help better engage customers and improve efficiency.
The Asian Lottery Forum also made a highly anticipated return to this year's Asian G2E catwalk. This is a great opportunity for more than 300 lottery industry professionals and industry leaders in Macau and internationally to connect and discuss the latest industrial developments in the Internet era.
